I have a slightly different use case and I am not sure my proposal
could answer that.

Any ideas how this could be done?

When I am teaching I'd like to tell people to download Padre and when
they open it
that it should have certain configuration that might not be the
default of Padre.

As I am right now teaching a class I have a few items:

1) I wanted to configure PPI Experimental as their syntax highlighter
as our version of
Scintilla cannot handle:

split / /, $line

2) Maybe configure the syntax checker

3) Turn on the run in external window mode

That were the items so far.

If it will be possible later hide several of the features (menu
options) of Padre.
