[Padre-dev] Would Padre be usable with Perl 5.8.8 - for *BSD systems?

As an aside, the reason it's 5.8.5 is that 5.8.5 was the first version
where all the serious Unicode bugs were worked out. Before 5.8.5 there
was some really ugly problem with length or join or something.
