Not usually. Because people have other duties and need to adjust priorities.

An initial implementation, yes. I would be considerably impressed if
such a stab at a complex problem turned out to be entirely finished
after the first attempt. That is not usually the case in my experience.

Umm, I am not aware of those differences in vision nor their seriousness?

I did send a mail to you and Adam asking for your input and never got an
answer.
Besides. I fail to see how my vision (for the lack of a better word) has
any bearing on anything. I just volunteered to provide a skeleton for
the XS bindings because I was the only one around with any XS
experience. I think I was quite clear that the bindings would be a
skeleton at the time. They're actually a lot further along than I had
initially intended to go. Any plans for the actual interface between PPI
and its tokenizer would have to be ironed out between the PPI author and
the tokenizer author. I'm neither.
