I don't have means to track the usage patterns or the number of users
directly. The public download statistics at sf.net show a drop from
about 4000 monthly downloads into the 1000 range in the past few
months. However, I don't think it represents a waning interest in EPIC
or Perl, as the number of visitors to the downloads page has actually
slightly increased in the same period (up to 10000 unique visitors,
60% of them tagged as "new"). The total amount of traffic has stayed
pretty much constant for the past year or so.
66% of visitors to the EPIC web site use Windows, 22% Linux, 9% Mac.
32% are from the U.S., 13% from Germany, 5% from Japan.
