I don't see the value of auto-backgrounding of padre:
- most unix processes don't do it.
- it's easy and know how to background a process (&).
- it's handy not to background for a user to debug a problem.
- anyway, regular users will launch padre from an icon shortcut from
they Desktop Environment.
